Bestselling Trading Books

Forget other trading books. These top 10 bestselling trading books are the best of the crop. I’m not saying that this collection of authors were the first to come up with some of these brilliant trading strategies and ideas, but as a body of knowledge, this group of books would give you a comprehensive trading knowledgebase and the trading books would be a great addition to your trading library. I’ve personally read them, some of them reside on my bookshelf and I highly recommend you read them. If you are only beginning to trade these are the first ten you should buy first to get the basics down pat.

  • Trading for a Living: Psychology, Trading Tactics, Money Management by Alexander Elder
  • Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline and a Winning Attitude by Mark Douglas
  • Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques, Second Edition by Steve Nison
  • Market Wizards: Interviews with Top Traders by Jack D. Schwager (which has a few books in his series such as The New Market Wizards: Conversations with America's Top Traders also by Jack D. Schwager)
  • The Trading Game: Playing by the Numbers to Make Millions by Ryan Jones
  • Trend Following: How Great Traders Make Millions in Up or Down Markets, by Michael W. Covel

If you are only beginning to trade these are the first ten you should buy first to get the basics down pat. Further down the line you can start to specialise and learn more about the other specialist skills in trading like Forex, Fibonacci and Elliot Wave Theory.
