Beach Energy Profit $43.6m Down 22% 1H2013

Oil and gas company, Beach Energy (ASX:BPT) have announced its half year financial results for 2013 to its shareholders and investors on the Australian stockmarket.

  • Beach Energy Net Profit at $43.6 million, down 22 percent.
  • BPT Underlying Net Profit at $60.9 million up 17 percent.
  • Beach Energy record Revenue at $342.9 million from stronger oil prices which averaged at $110 per barrel.
  • Carbon tax paid was $7 million.
  • Beach Energy is a Junior in Shale Gas. The company made a $349 million deal with Chevron where it will use the capital for exploration and acquisition over two areas in South Australia and Queensland called the Nappamerri Trough.
  • Beach Energy have declared a fully-franked interim dividend of 75 cents per share.
