Adtrans Group (ADG) is a holding company engaged along with its subsidiaries in operating franchised vehicle dealerships. Adtrans Group was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on August 13, 1987. Adtrans Group is Adelaide-based company operating in about 30 locations around Australia.The subsidiaries of ADG are involved in franchised agreements with Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Australia Pty. Ltd., Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Ltd., Hyundai Motor Company Australia Pty. Ltd., UD Trucks (Oceania) Pty. Ltd., Kia Motors Australia Pty. Ltd., Daimler Chrysler (Australia/Pacific) Pty. Ltd., Iveco Trucks Australia Ltd. and Vawdrey Australia Pty. Ltd.
The Company acquired Australia Wide Transport Spares, a truck parts operation, which was merged within the existing Victorian Whitehorse operation during the fiscal year June 30, 2007. ADG also acquired its second Kia dealership,situated at Clovelly Park, South Africa.Adtrans Group also acquired the business of Wayne Philips Kia at Clovelly Park on November 29, 2006.
ADG has a benefit of significant presence in the car and truck retail market through the large number of dealerships that it operates. ADG’s dealership in Stillwell Trucks in Sydney is one of the largest truck dealers.
Adtrans Group has approximately 890 people employed in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. Its turnover for year 2006 and 2007 was $643 million. Also it sold 7,388 used cars and 6,238 new cars in South Australia, along with 2,404 trucks (new and used) nationally in year 2006/2007.

Following is the brief history of the growth and achievements of the Adtrans group.
Adtrans Group is a diversified retail car and truck group having a major influence on the retail sales and service of cars and trucks in Adelaide, South Australia; Sydney, New South Wales, and Melbourne, Victoria. It operates out of 30 locations around Australia.
Adelaide-based BS Stillwell-Ford is a major division of the Group, established in 1971. The Company opened the heavy truck dealership at Regency Park in South Australia in 1975. Then in 1979 it expanded to New South Wales and established a truck dealership at Milperra, near Sydney. In 1986 it founded Graham Cornes Motors (Cornes Toyota) at Hawthorn , South Australia. It acquired BS Stillwell-Ford Pty Ltd in 1987.
In 1990 it founded Austrans Truck Centre in Melbourne and opened Diahatsu franchise in Adelaide. ADG acquired Hyundai franchise, opened “The Truck Centre” on Parramatta Road, Lidcombe NSW and opened City Service Centre in Adelaide, SA in year 1995.
It established Cornes Toyota 4x4 Centre at Parkside, SA in 1996 and Graham Cornes Used Cars at Medindie, SA in 1997 and opened Hyundai service centre at Ingle Farm, South Australia in 1998. The Ford was changed to Sterling trucks in 1999. It also opened Kia franchise at Medindie, SA the same year.
In year 2000 it opened Adtrans Used Cars at St Marys, SA and Adtrans Car Service Centre at Melrose Park, SA. It also acquired International/Iveco franchise at Dandenong, Vic and International/Iveco franchise at Regency Park, SA and it took over Rebel Ford dealership, Elizabeth, SA the same year.
On Jan 16, 2001 BS Stillwell Pty Ltd changed its name to Adtrans Automotive Group Pty Ltd. It acquired Adrian Brien Automotive (Ford, Hyundai and Chrysler Jeep franchises), St Marys SA on Feburary 1,2001 and acquired Mitsubishi (now FUSO) Trucks franchise at Footscray, Victoria on April 2001.
On Feburary 2002 it acquired Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner franchises at Milperra, NSW and took over the Iveco Trucks Australia dealership located at Laverton, Victoria, now trading as Adtrans Truck Centre on December 2003. It opened Stillwell Ford Commercial Vehicles at Medindie, SA and Stillwell Hyundai Service Centre at Prospect, SA in 2003. ADG also opened Stillwell parts distribution warehouse at Regency Park, SA in January 2003.
In the year 2004 it launched Stillwell Premium Vehicles. In Octobor 2005 ADG opened Reynella Hyundai and Reynella Hyundai Service at Reynella and Morphett Vale, SA and took over the business of Whitehorse Truck Centre, Dandenong, Vic, selling Freightliner, Mercedes-Benz and Sterling trucks on November 2005. It also opened Rebel Ford Pooraka SA branch operation ,selling new and used cars in December 2005.
On September, 2006 it acquired the business of Australia Wide Transport Spares, Victoria and on November, 2006 it acquired the business of Wayne Phillips Kia at Clovelly Park, SA, which now trades as Adtrans Kia - sales and service departments.
It acquired the BCI buses franchise at Footscray, Victoria in 2007 and on November, 2007 it also purchased Best Hino - now Adtrans Hino, operating at Mascot and Gosford, NSW.
On January 2008 it purchased Colrain - Traralgon (now The Valley Truck Centre), a truck parts and service centre and on April, 2008 it acquired Camden Hino that is now Adtrans Hino, operating at Camden, NSW.
