Advanced Engine Components (ACE) is a company engaged in the research, development and commercialization of electronic fuel injection and engine control systems. The Company has working agreements with three of China’s manufacturers of heavy duty engines for buses and trucks. Advanced Engine Components was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on Feburary 21, 2000. The Company’s corporate and research headquarters are located in Perth, Western Australia. Recently the Company has hired a General Manager and staff for its newly-founded office and assembly facility in Beijing, China. The Company has adapted engines of different capacities ranging from 3.2 litres to 11.6 litres. The Company has build, commissioned and tested 190 horse power, 220 horse power and 255 horse power compressed natural gas (CNG) versions of the 7.8 L Isuzu engine.ACE has a joint venture agrement in Thailand to build new natural gas powered vehicles and re-power existing diesel vehicles with natural gas engines.The sale of spares contributed 29% of the Company’s revenue during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2007.
AEC has invested more than AUD27 million in its business over the past 20 years. Advanced Engine Components has won a number of prestigious awards, including the Australian Energy Award, Western Australian Energy Efficiency Award and the C Y O'Connor Award for Engineering Excellence. AEC is currently involved in developing natural gas engines for use in trucks, as part of consortium and it continues to be active in Australia.
Advanced Engine Components History
Advanced Engine Components was listed on the ASX on 21 February 2000. The Company aimed at optimising engine performance, for its engine component products while reducing the vehicle emissions. ACE has received a number of industry awards, including the Australian Energy Award, for its dedication to the development of advanced engine products. The Company entered into a joint venture arrangement in Thailand (Monika Motors) on July 2007, to develop natural gas powered vehicles and re-power existing diesel vehicles with NG engines. ACE signed a product development contract in June 2005 to supply components using ACE's Natural Gas Vehicle System (NGVS).
