Ambertech (AMO) is one of the world's leading distributors engaged in the wholesale of high technology equipment to the professional broadcast, film, recording and sound reinforcement industries, and of customer audio and video products in Australia and New Zealand. The Company is principally focused on the ownership and management of distribution rights with manufacturers. These strong relationships with manufacturers have resulted in the growth and success of AMO. It listed on ASX on 10 December, 2004.The Company is organized into two business divisions: Professional and Lifestyle Entertainment. Its professional division is mainly focused on the distribution of high technology equipment to professional broadcast, film, recording and sound reinforcement industries. Its Lifestyle Entertainment segment deals with the distribution of home theatre products to dealers, distribution and supply of custom installation components for home theatre and commercial installations to dealers and customers, and the distribution of projection and display products with business and domestic applications.
The Company was established in 1987, when management took over audio and film divisions of Rank Electronics. Ambertech has a nation-wide network of offices in key capital cities, backed by 205 dealers and service agents all over the country. The Company has a well-organized distribution and support system across a terrain larger than the USA with just one tenth of the population. These well-off, intelligent and demanding audiences seek only for the best. The Company is committed to provide distribution proficiency and support in customer niche markets to its overseas principals.
Ambertech History
Ambertech was created in 1987 as a result of the management takeover of the audio and film division of Rank Electronics Pty Limited. Since then, the Company has progressed by integrating numerous other complementary divisions. These divisions comprise Professional Audio, Broadcast, Consumer, Display and Audioworks.
