Amex Resources (AXZ) is a mineral exploration company primarily searching for gold, copper and iron ore. The Company's principal activities incorporate the development, operation and evaluation of smaller sized mining projects in Western Australia. Amex has nine exploration projects located in Western Australia with mineral diversity, comprising of gold, copper, iron ore and nickel. Amex was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 11 of September, 2007. Its key projects are J.J.’s, Woodline Well and Ada Ann projects, which are prospective for gold and Breakaway Dam project which is prospective for copper. The J.J.’s project spans over an area of 1.5 square kilometers. The Company’s six projects at Woodline Well, Breakaway Dam, Yangan Hill, Mt. Martin Yunndaga and Ada Ann are situated within the Archaean Norseman - Wiluna greenstone belt of the Eastern Goldfields. The rest of the tenements are sited within the Pilbara and Peak Hill mineral fields of Western Australia, Nother Western Australian Projects and the Eastern Goldfields province.
The Ada Ann prospect has three prospecting licence holdings: P15/3443 and PLA15/4365. Amex Resources took over 50.32% of Teakdale Pty Ltd in July 2006. Amex also acquired a further 1.61% of Teakdale Nominees Pty Ltd in June 2007. The Company completely acquired Teakdale Nominees Pty Ltd in September 2007.AXZ began to acquire tenements in July 2006 with the aim of exploring and developing significant ore bodies capable of generating long term cash flow.
