Anglo Australian Resources NL (AAR) is a mineral exploration and mining company. Its principal activities incorporate gold mining programme at West Mandilla and the exploration of minerals. The Company was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 13 November, 1986. The Company’s tenements are mainly located in Australia. The Company has its major projects situated in the Murchison and Eastern Goldfields districts of Western Australia and at Denison in Tasmania. During fiscal 2007, the Company produced 12,434 ounces of gold by drilling Mandilla palaeochannel. As of June 30, 2007, the Company mined approximately 85,033 tons of ore and processed 33,053 tons of this ore.
Anglo Australian Resources NL also completed the pre-feasibility stage of its key Koongie Park project with resource definition, metallurgical test work and engineering scoping studies. The Mandilla mine provided the company with cash flow to fund searching and development work for Koongie Park project. The Koongie Park project is the Company’s base metals project comprising two mining leases, two exploration licenses and 15 prospecting licenses, situated 25 kilometers south-west of Halls Creek in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The Company is also engaged in pursuing the investigation for further exploration opportunities, consisting of gold/copper, nickel and VMS base metals, in Australia and overseas.
