ANZ's Online Banking goes Offline


ANZ Bank's (ASX:ANZ) experiences technical problems with its internet banking, making it the latest bank to suffer electronic glitches in the recent months. The bank's service went down at about 10:45 am at eastern Australian time, and still needs to be restored.

$2.7 Billion First Half Profit for ANZ


First half profit rose to a record 38 percent for ANZ Bank (ASX:ANZ) as the lender increased market shares. ANZ said in a statement that net profit for the six months to end of March soared to $2.664 billion from $1.925 billion the previous year.

22% Profit Rise Set for ANZ


Bank profit reporting season starts tomorrow with ANZ Bank (ASX:ANZ) expecting a rise in cash profit to $2.8 billion, or 22 percent. Westpac Banking Corporation is expected to report $3.111 billion in cash earnings with 2.557 billion for National Australia Bank.

ANZ Bank Profit Jump 53 Percent


Australian banking conglomerate, ANZ Bank (ASX:ANZ) have seen its profit jump 53 percent in the last year. The bank posted a statutory profit of $4.5 billion after tax, up from $3.38 billion last year. While underlying net profit is up 33 percent to $5.02 billion.
