Apollo Minerals (AON) is a mineral exploration Company principally engaged in the acquisition, exploration, assessment and development of uranium, iron-ore and base metal deposits and prospects. The Company’s uranium, iron-ore and base metal tenements are mainly held in South Australia. Apollo listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 31st October, 2007. At present the company has two iron ore projects, sited at Mount Oscar in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and at Commonwealth Hill. Apollo has a management agreement with Australian Resource Company Artemis Resources Limited, according to which Artemis is responsible for the provision of management services and expertise regarding the sourcing of prospective new projects or investments for Apollo. On 1 August 2007, Apollo announced the acquisition of the tenements. The Company’s tenements incorporate five properties: Comet, Gina, Commonwealth Hill, Aurora Tank and Commonwealth Hill East. These properties expand over an area of 1,793 square kilometres on the central Gawler Craton in South Australia.
Apollo is currently involved in the further exploration of its deposits as well as the discovery and development of additional uranium and base metal deposits located within under-explored regions of its tenements. It is also focused on the acquirement of the direct and indirect interests in other under-explored and highly prospective mineral exploration projects.
