Arasor International (ARR) manufactures and distributes optical chips, components, modules and subsystems. Arasor customer base include tier-one networking and wireless suppliers in United States, India, China, Australia also including the consumer electronic manufacturers and integrators throughout the world. ARR listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 25th of October, 2006. Arasor’s head office is based in Mountain View, California, USA (in Silicon Valley). The Company’s product range encompasses wireless and optical networking products which are used in broadband data communications, and optical chips for use in laser-driven televisions. ARR focuses its development activities through three divisions comprising wireless communications, optical networking and consumer electronics components. On 15 January 2007, the Arasor took over the Xalted Networks Fixed Wireless business in India. It completed the acquisition of Bandwidth Foundry on April 30, 2007. It also took over Verrillon Holdings Pty Ltd on October 15 and acquired Novalux Inc in January 2008. Arasor’s Wimax protocol "Radio over Fiber" wireless access system can provide 10 times faster data rates as compared to the average DSL broadband over a distance of several kilometers.
