Argent Minerals (ARD) is a mineral exploration Company primarily searching for gold, silver, lead and zinc. Argent Minerals listed on Australian Stock Exchange on 3rd April, 2008. Since its integration, ARD has entered into the Farmin and Joint Venture Agreements with Golden Cross Operations which relate to the Argent Minerals Properties. The Kempfield Tenements, Sunny Corner Tenements and West Wyalong Tenements are jointly known as the Argent Minerals Properties and are sited in New South Wales within the well mineralized Lachlan Fold Belt. The Kempfield Tenements consist of a range of barite horizons, some of which host silver, lead and zinc mineralization. The Kempfield Tenements cover an area of round about 116 square kilometers and hold silver deposits amounted to 11.3 million ounces. The Sunny Corner Tenements spans over an area of about 200.1 square kilometers around the village of Sunny Corner. The West Wyalong Tenements are situated one kilometer to the east of the West Wyalong township and approximately 470 kilometers west of Sydney.
The Company aims at maximizing shareholder value through capital growth and dividends, by the exploration of economic mineral deposits and the expansion of profitable mining operations. ARD currently focuses on the exploration and further assessment of the Tenements subject to the Farmin and Joint Venture Agreements. The Company may also evaluate and continue other prospective mineral projects in Australia or elsewhere which have the prospective to add to the Company's future growth.
