Argus Solutions (ASV) specialises in the design, delivery and maintenance of biometric-based identification applications and solutions, as well as the distribution of biometric hardware and software. Its applications offer iris, face and finger based business and security benefits. Since its inception, ASV has developed six platform applications, which comprise access control, asset management, border control and drug dispensing. These applications are now integrated via ASV's Cornerstone software platform to provide cutting edge identity management and security solutions. Argus floated on the Australian Stock Exchange on 5th of October, 2004. It sold off its Singapore subsidiary, Digital Imaging Asia Pacific Pte Ltd on August 3, 2007.
The company provides practical identification software products, shaped according to the requirements of its clientele, thus providing immediate business advantages and enhancements to them. These products are not only globally innovative and provide end to end solutions to its customers but also facilitate the Company’s growth and business operations. The Company intends to continually enhance its products in order to address the changing requirements of its customers. The factors that differentiate ASV from its competitors are its ability to bid on contracts throughout the world and its highly competent product development team. Another advantage that Company holds is that its products can be integrated with and build on to the existing products of its competitors.
Argus Solutions History
Argus Solutions was incorporated in 1999 as a biometric company focused on the development and supply of iris recognition technology. Before being listed on the ASV, the company raised a capital of around $7.3M in private funding, which it utilised in the integration of its software into iris-related technology from major vendors and to carry out initial sales of its product set. ASV was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2004.
