Armour Energy (AJQ) is an Australian company is focused on the discovery and development of world class gas and associated liquid resources in an extensive and recently recognised hydrocarbon province in northern Australia. The company engaged MBA Petroleum Consultants to undertake an independent Prospective Resource assessment.
MBA Petroleum Consultants has assessed a combined mean Prospective Resource of:
- 18.8 trillion cubic feet of gas; and
- 2.0 billion barrels of associated Liquids,
within the unconventional and conventional plays across both granted permits EP 171 and EP 176. In December 2011, the Company secured a 13% interest in ASX listed Lakes Oil NL. The investment, farm-in and option rights it has secured in connection with the investment will provide exposure to the Otway and Gippsland Basins in Victoria.
