Aspermont (ASP) is a large and established print and Internet publisher to the mining, oil & gas and related sectors, with operations in Australia and overseas. ASP's principal areas of business include magazines and internet news services. Aspermont listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 27th April, 2000 and is headquartered in Perth, WA. The Company focuses on the production of information services through print, conference and online media networks. Its print products comprise Australia's Mining Monthly, RESOURCESTOCKS, Longwall Magazine, Contractor, Cranes and Lifting Australia, PETROLEUM and Civil Contractors Year Book. The Company’s Internet products consist of MiningNews.net, International Longwall News, PetroleumNews.net, ConstructionIndustryNews.net, SupplyChainLogisticsNews.net, EnvironmentalManagementNews.net, BiotechnologyNews.net, PNGIndustryNews.net, OfficeProfessional.com.au and SuperLiving. The Company also provides further services comprising industry specific search engines, archives and directories, tailored editorial facilities and graphic design capability.
Aspermont is one of the largest resource industry media group in Australia. ASP has a strong presence in the international market, with approximately 150 staff employed across offices in Australia, UK and America. During the fiscal year 2007, the Company had 90% of the issued capital of Corporate Intelligence & Communications Pty Ltd. During the past few years, the Company has made complementary acquirements to expand the portfolio of its business operations. Aspermont is also seeking for various opportunities across both industries and geographies that can support the business growth. The Company aims to become a leading information service provider in varied and niche sectors, through the provision of a complete suite of integrated services.
Aspermont History
Aspermont commenced its business operations with its flagship magazine and Australia's Mining Monthly, over 25 years ago. Since then, the Company holds a strong position in the market, with a principal focus on the supplier aspect of the resources industry.
Aspermont listed on the ASX in April 2000. The Company went through a management reorganization phase in 2005, and shaped a new phase of development which resulted in the delivery of enhanced value to its shareholders. During 2006/2007 the company successfully developed and added several new companies having key strengths in print, online and conferencing media to its portfolio that now generate steady income streams for the Company. In 2008 Aspermont acquired a 100% ownership of UK based Mining Communications Limited (MCL), a publisher of the 175 year old Mining Journal and organizer of the globally commended Mines & Money Conference Series.
