Further Reading
Atomic Resources (ATQ) is a mining and mineral exploration company principally focused on solid energy (Coal and Uranium). The Company has a portfolio of assets in Western Australia and in Tanzania, Africa. Atomic Resources listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 4 July, 2007. Its Uaroo Project is situated some 40 kilometers south of the Manyingee Uranium deposit near Onslow, Western Australia. Its Eraheedy Project encompasses over 11 tenements with the prospect to host calcrete or surfical uranium. Its Ashburton project represents a vein style target, as well as more traditional surficial style mineralization within the one tenement. It lies near the Mundong Well anomaly of vein hosted uranium and copper. The Company will also hold 85% of a Tanzanian company, which owns concessions, in Tanzania, spanning over nearly 700 kilometers in two regions: the northern Bahi Basin/Handa area and the Tunduru southern project. The Company owns an 85% interest in Pacific Corporation East Africa and holds a 100% interest in Resource Search Pty Ltd.
Atomic Resources has chosen the projects based upon previous drilling or sampling results combined with robust geological concepts and models. It deems that the core projects particularly the advanced coal deposits in Tanzania contain quality mineral assets and ones that will help the company to grow quickly from junior explorer to miner.
