Augustus Minerals (AUJ) is a gold and base metals exploration Company. The Company was created on 29 November 2006 with an objective to acquire and invest in the resource based projects within Australia and abroad. Augustus listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 20th February, 2008.
Augustus Minerals has a 100% shareholding in the Mt Palmer Project located in Western Australia. AUJ holds a 19% interest in Dostyk Gold LLP, which contains gold and polymetallic resources in the Maikubensk region of Pavlodar oblast of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Dostyk Project). The Dostyk Project consists of six targets with identified mineralization. These six priority targets encompass the Berezkey and Quartizite Gorka Prospects, Beskayga Gold Prospect, Ushagan Prospect, and the Anninskoye and Nickolovskoyr Prospects. The Company’s Mt Palmer tenements are held in the Yellowdine Greenstone belt, which is a part of the Parker Range terrain. Its exploration licenses E77/987 and E77/1290 are situated approximately 8 kilometers south of Yellowdine on the Great Eastern Highway. AUJ's granted exploration license E77/987 includes five sub blocks of about 15.85 square kilometers. The Company also seeks to identify further mineralization opportunities in the Mt Palmer Tenements and the Dostyk Project to discover prospective new mineral based projects.
