Austin Engineering (ANG) is in business of servicing the metal fabrication and construction. Its core business is in the mining and resources sector. The company has Australian manufacturing facilities in Brisbane, Perth and Mackay, overseas in the American state Wyoming through its subsidiary Western Technology Services (Westech) and Austin Ingenieros Chile Ltda located in the northern mining region of Antofagasta. In addition, a joint-venture in the Middle East has also provided Austin Engineering with a manufacturing facility in Oman.
Each Austin Engineering Business Unit Division provides an array of manufacturing, repair and support services to the mining, oil and gas, aluminium and industrial sectors. It was listed on ASX on 9 March 2004. It is located in 173 Cobalt Street, CAROLE PARK BRISBANE. ANG provides engineering services to the mining, oil and gas, aluminium and industrial industries. ANG specialises in the supply and installation of metal products such as structural steel and piping, as well as products used in the resources industry such as dump truck bodies, excavator buckets and large service vehicles. Its operations are concentrated in Queensland and Western Australia in Australia. ANG also has manufacturing facilities in Wyoming in the US and Oman.
ANG has developed new robotic welding technology. The development of this automated form of technology will increase the company's efficiency. Major customers include mining companies, particularly those within the aluminium sector. Major competitors of Austin Engineering include other companies that provide engineering contract work.
Austin Engineering History
ANG listed on the ASX on 9 March 2004. In 2005, it completed a sale and leaseback of its manufacturing premises in Queensland and Western Australia. Since then ANG has acquired a number of companies including Kaldura Industries, Austbore Pty Ltd and Western Technology Services.
