Aevum (AVE) is a company primarily engaged in the operation, management and development of retirement villages and aged care facilities. Aevum was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 18th of November 2004. At present Aevum owns and operates twenty one senior living communities in Sydney, mid-North Coast, Southern Highlands of NSW, and Western Australia with a combined resident capacity of 2600 Aevum employs more than 320 dedicated team members.

Stockland Raises Takeover Offer

Australia's largest diversified property group, Stockland (ASX:SGP) have raised their takeover offer for Australian retirement village operator Aevum (ASX:AVE) by 20 percent to $1.80 in an "unconditional and final" bid for the company after Aevum rejected an initial bid by Stockland.

Aevum Rejects Stockland

Australian retirement village operator Aevum (ASX:AVE) have rejected a $266 million takeover bid of diversified property group, Stockland (ASX:SGP). SGP is AVE's biggest shareholder (15.7 percent holdings) had offered $1.50 per share to which Aevum said that valuation "significantly undervalues" the company.

Aevum (AVE) Stock Recommendation

ABN Amro have initiated coverage on the Aevum (AVE) stock with a Buy with a valuation of $1.90. The broker notes that the company is well placed to further develop in its industry while looking for further opportunities to boost its market share. There is potential for upgraded property valuations which justifies the positive rating.
