AVJennings (AVJ) specialises in residential property development and home construction. Its operations include the construction of pre-planned housing under contract and development of medium-sized residential estates; and the sale of land to other builders on large development sites. AVJ listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 27 January, 1994. The Company’s offices are located in four states, with more than 450 directly employed personnel. The Company operates through land development, integrated housing and apartments development, and contract building business segments. Its land development division sells land to builders for packaging their own building products on the purchased land, and to the end customers who choose their own builder. Its integrated housing apartments development division is engaged in the sale of completed home, townhouse or apartment within an AVJennings development. Its contract building segment offers contract home building services to the customers. The Company’s joint venture projects consist of Regatta Waters/ParkLake joint venture, Springbank joint venture, Cammeray joint venture and Cheltenham joint venture. In September 2007, AVJ completed the purchase of a 14.7-hectare site in the inner Sydney suburb of Eastwood from the Austral Brick Company Pty Ltd. AVJ offers home buyers and builders, with a wide range of choices in a large number of locations. The living solutions offered by the Company include land sales, completed homes, house and land packages, and project housing. AVJ also has Apartments in NSW, and Home Improvements in SA.
AVJennings History
AVJ floated on the ASX in January 1994. MPH Limited, an investment company based in Singapore was a majority investor in AVJ. In 2002 MPH distributed all of its AVJ holdings to its shareholders.
