Avoca Resources (AVO) is a growing mineral exploration and resource development Company with its core focus on gold and copper. The Company is actively involved in developing the highly prospective Higginsville Gold Project, together with searching for a range of gold deposits in Western Australia. The recently acquired Higginsville Gold Project is the key asset of the Company and it is situated 180 kilometer south of Kalgoorlie. Higginsville Gold Project will support the further development of the Company’s high-quality exploration base, including Mt Fisher. The Trident Underground Mine is located within the Higginsville Project and it is expected to produce 170,000 ounces of per annum. Avoca Resources listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 15th April, 2002 and its head office is based in Perth, Western Australia. The Company is the sole owner of the Mt. Fisher Gold-Nickel Project, situated 400 kilometer north of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and it hosts distinct gold and nickel mineralisation covering a project area of 740 kilometer. The Company operates eight joint venture development projects in Western Australia. Avoca’s Western Australia’s joint ventures are with La Mancha, Integra Mining, Metex/Barrick, Great Gold Mines, Regal Resources and Encounter Resources. In the six years since its listing, Avoca has grown from a junior Greenfield explorer into a producer having a portfolio of premium quality exploration asset base, both wholly-owned and in joint ventures with several Australian resource companies. Avoca aims to become the next Australian mid-tier gold mining company.
