HalcyGen Pharmaceuticals Limited (HGN) is a company that focuses on testing and improvement of generic drugs. It was listed on ASX on 29 June, 2007. The company is currently developing two potential "SuperGenerics" which are SUBA-Itraconazole and Minocycline which have been licensed from Mayne. SuperGenerics aim to improve generic reference pharmaceuticals to create safer, more efficacious and/or easier to use pharmacies.
Giaconda (GIA) develop medical therapies that provides relief for patients suffering from serious gastointestinal (GI) diseases and disorders. Its product portfolio comprises of four therapeutic products and a pre-colonoscopy bowel preparation. These products mainly deal with approved and accepted compounds. The company was founded in 2004 as a vehicle to commercialise therapies for gastointestinal diseases and disorders. GIA was listed on the ASX in Sep 2005.
Genesis Research and Development Corporation (GEN) is a biotechnology company with core technical expertise in the fields of genomics and immunology. GEN has developed an integrated research and discovery platform that includes proprietary sets of EST databases and microRNA libraries, extensive bioinformatics capability and cell-based screening technologies to identify novel targets for drug development
Cryosite (CTE) provides specialised outsourced logistic services to a range of clients, including the research, medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary and biotechnology industries. The company's service includes the collection, processing and storage of cord blood stem cells for private use; and the archival storage of biological material for biological-based industries. In addition, CTE offers a computer-based management system for samples stored at customers own locations. Cryosite was listed on the ASX in May 2002. Its head office is situated in Sydney.
Cogstate (CGS) specialises in the development and commercialisation of rapid, computerised tests for the measurement of cognition (brain function). CGS is basically a biotechnology company established in 1999 with its headquarters situated in Melbourne and it was listed on ASX on 13 February, 2004.
