Breville Group (BRG) is involved in the innovation, development, marketing and distribution of small electrical appliances and homewares. The company distributes leading houseware brands and also develops, establishes and sells wholly owned brands. This is done via a product procurement, warehousing, sales and distribution infrastructure. Brands include Breville, Kambrook, Ronson, Goldair and Phillips. BRG operates in the principal markets of Australia, the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Hong Kong. Investors can trade Breville shares on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
Breville (formerly Housewares International) began in 1957 as an importer. The company and listed on the Australian stock market in 1999. In 2001, Housewares acquired the Breville companies in Australia, NZ and Hong Kong and a 50% interest in Anglo-Canadian Housewares. The remaining 50% was acquired in 2007. The company was renamed Breville Group and the stock code changed in Nov 2005. The Group disposed of its Australian homewares and house cleaning businesses in March 2007 to focus on the electrical business.
BRG distinguishes itself on the basis of design. The company has won numerous design awards for its products over the years including BRG has a design centre in Sydney and has established long term relationships with a wide range of retailers. BRG is a wholesaler that supplies to a wide range of retailers including department stores and homewares stores. BRG competes with other developers, manufacturers and distributions of small electrical appliances and homewares.
Breville

Philips
The Breville Group is the exclusive distributor for the Philips brand (Domestic Appliances and Personal Care division) in Australia and New Zealand. Philips DAP products are world renowned for their innovation. This has helped the brand achieve market leadership in the electric male shaver category, driven by the success of key products including the Sensotec 8000 series and Cool Skin shavers. Home Environment Care including garment care is another key category.
Laura Ashley
The Breville Group has the licensing rights in North America to manufacture and distribute Housewares products under the Laura Ashley brand name. The Laura Ashley brand is recognized and loved around the globe for its classic, feminine inspiration. The Laura Ashley Housewares collection offers a range of casual, traditional and formal styles in dinnerware, serve ware, glassware, stemware and bake ware.
Scanpan
The Breville Group is the exclusive distributor for the Scanpan range of cookware in USA and Canada. The Scanpan range of products comprises innovative and functional kitchen equipment of the highest quality inspired by high-tech Danish craftsmanship and technology. From one single pan series in 1956, Scanpan’s range has since grown steadily.
Today products cover a wide range, in addition to the ceramic titanium series (using patented ceramic titanium coating technology), the range also includes design series in steel and copper, special products for daily cooking and baking moulds manufactured in functional silicone. Scanpan products are currently sold in more than 45 countries world wide.
