Also, Dexion Integrated Systems is a specialist logistics and integrated systems company dedicated to bringing high-level system design and implementation expertise together with the world's best distribution products. The company was founded in 1947 by Demetrius Comino OBE in London. DEX arrived in Australia in 1955 and has subsequently grown to be one of Australia's largest suppliers of integrated storage and materials handling systems.
Cougar Energy's (CXY) business focus is the development of commercial projects using Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) technology, which aims to provide cost effective and environmentally friendly solutions to both the Australian and international energy markets. Cougar also owns 47.8 percent of its subsidiary company, Cougar Energy (UK) Limited (an unlisted company in the UK). Cougar Energy (UK) was established to develop similar UCG based opportunities in India, Pakistan, the UK and Europe, with projects in the rest of the world remaining with the Australian company.
Coote Industrial (CXG) is a provider of engineering, logistics and manufacturing services to quality clients operating in a range of industries. CXG’s offerings include project management, engineering services, fabrication, repair and maintenance services, plant, equipment and component sales, rail infrastructure services, rail operations, freight logistics, and personnel services. In FY08, the company acquired Gemco Rail and Bucks Rail Welding. CXG operates in New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden, and Australia.
Cool or Cosy (COS) has established itself as the leading cellulose insulation manufacturer and installer in Australia. The company is well positioned to further develop its market capability and presence, both in its existing base business (domestic insulation) and in other synergistic products in the home building sector, such as the development of a residential air-conditioning system. It also has plans to enter South East Asia and China markets because of increase in demand.
Computronics Holdings (CPS) consists of three business divisions: Farmscan (Agriculture), Computronics EDS (Electronic Display Systems) and Components. Farmscan provides a range of agricultural electronics. Computronics EDS manufactures LED electronic display systems for a variety of industries. The Components Division imports, stocks and sells electronic components used by the other two divisions as well as distributing electronic components to manufacturers Australia-wide. The company was established in 1976 and has expanded its operations throughout Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
CMI is an Australia-based company whose operations centre around the manufacturing and distribution of automotive, 4WD, heavy transport, electrical components and accessories through 14 facilities in Australia, New Zealand and the US; and providing financial services through its fully owned subsidiary Capitalcorp Finance & Leasing Pty Ltd, which operates from 31 offices throughout Australia. The company was established in 1991 and listed on the ASX in 1993. In the same year, it acquired Capitalcorp, which is the cornerstone of CMI’s new financial services division.
Ceramic Fuel Cells (CFU) is recognised globally for its specialisation in the research and development of ceramic fuel cell systems using solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and stack technology. The company has been able to manufacture an economically viable fuel system for distribution to appliance manufacturers all over the world. CFU testing services, expertise in powders, seals and materials handling are world-class and may provide additional business opportunities.
Australian company Cell Aquaculture Ltd (CAQ) has developed the EcoCell "Hatch to Dispatch" concept, a land-based seafood production package. The company is headquartered in Fremantle, Western Australia. Its subsidiaries include TRG Cell Sdn Bhd, Cell Aqua Malaysia Sdn Bhd. In March 2008, the Company disposed its interest in Delta Aquaculture Services, LLC. The EcoCell seafood growing system first commenced development early in 1997. CAQ listed on the ASX on 25 July 2005. In 2006, the company expanded its operations into the US, with joint venture partner Delta Aquaculture Services.
CEC Group (CEG) is a construction and development company operating in Queensland. The company is engaged in civil engineering and construction; supply of building and construction materials; and property development. The company has worked on major public infrastructure projects such as the Cairns International Airport and Cairns Esplanade Redevelopment. The company was founded in 1977 as Cairns Earthmoving Contractors. The company expanded its construction and development operations. The group changed its name to CEC Group in 1999 and listed on the ASX on 7 June 2004.
