Further Reading
Chalice Gold Mines (CHN) has been established to create a gold exploration and development business. Completion of the Initial Public Offering will achieve a final condition for the acquisition by Chalice Gold Mines of a portfolio of gold exploration properties in both new and emerging Western Australian gold camps. The Company offers product lines in the areas of intravenous (IV) infusion, medication and supply dispensing, respiratory care, infection prevention and surgical instruments. Its primary product brands include Alaris IV infusion systems that feature its Guardrails software, an application that alerts the clinician when a parameter is outside the institution’s pre-established limitations for that medication, thereby helping to reduce IV medication errors; Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems that provide medication management and Pyxis automated medical supply dispensing systems; AVEA and Pulmonetic Systems ventilation and respiratory products, and Jaeger and SensorMedics pulmonary products, and ChloraPrep products that help prevent vascular and surgical-site infections and MedMined software and surveillance services that help target and reduce hospital-acquired infections.
Chalice Gold Mines Limited (Chalice) is a progressive exploration and development company dedicated to building shareholder value through focused exploration, discovery and development of high quality gold and base metal projects in Africa and Australia. The company is based in Western Australia, Chalice owns an 80% interest in the strategically-positioned 615 square km Zara Project in Eritrea, East Africa. The Company has already commenced Scoping and Feasibility Studies aimed at rapidly progressing the high-grade ~1Moz Koka Gold Deposit to production in late 2011.
In addition, the emerging Zara gold and base metal district controlled by Chalice remains virtually untouched by modern exploration, with numerous artisanal gold mining sites, gold geochemical anomalies and base metal anomalous gossans presenting numerous targets for immediate follow-up. Based on these targets and others being generated by an active exploration program, Chalice expects to quickly build on its existing Koka gold resource to maximise the project’s economic potential both for gold and base metals.
Chalice is well funded, with sufficient financial resources to both progress the Zara Project to feasibility and to conduct an aggressive exploration program. This is further supported by a Board of Directors and management with a wealth of expertise in the mining and exploration sectors both in Africa and Australia. A combination of a robust gold resource at the Koka Gold Deposit and the potential for further gold and base metal discoveries within the Zara Project places Chalice in an excellent position for rapid future growth.
