City Pacific (CIY) is a specialist financial services provider engaged in the provision of finance and investment products. Its principal business operations are mortgage lending and broking, mortgage funds management and property management. CIY was established in 1997 and listed on the Australian on Stock Exchange on 2nd of July, 2001. The Company has made a solid growth in areas of both share price and funds under advice since its listing on the ASX in 2001. It also holds Australian Financial Services licence No. 230025. City Pacific manages a portfolio of four registered managed investment schemes comprising City Pacific First Mortgage Fund (previously City Pacific Mortgage Trust), City Pacific Income Fund, City Pacific Managed Fund and City Pacific Private Fund. The Company holds $5 billion in mortgage properties managed by it. The Company focuses its business development activities through five principal divisions: funds management, property, financial services, investment/trading and operating. On July 2, 2007, it took over Australian Beneficial Finance Pty Ltd., a mortgage manager and a specialist in residential mortgage creation and organisation, and commercial and development funding. CIY disposed its City Pacific Transport Finance Pty Ltd’s shares on December 1, 2007. As at fiscal 2008, the Company held around $950M in funds under advice.
City Pacific History
City Pacific started operations in 1997 as a financial services company engaged in the provision of fund management services to its investors. CIY was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2001. It facilitated in listing developer CP1 Limited in 2002. It got a strategic interest in Terrain Australia during 2003. It formed alliance with Indigo Group in 2004, for a property-based IPO.
