CO2 Australia Carbon Sequestration Program involves the production of carbon credits from long-term Mallee Eucalypt plantings. The company was listed on the ASX on 14 June 1990. CO2 is also registered on the Chicago Climate Exchange. CO2 Australia has six offices located across three Australian states.
The Company’s planting operations are located in New South Wales, Western Australia, and Victoria. It operates in a single segment. On September 8, 2008, the Company purchased interests in The Oil Mallee Company of Australia Limited (OMC). Its subsidiaries include CO2 Australia Limited, Australian Carbon Sinks Limited, Mallee Carbon Limited, Carbon Sinks Services Pty Ltd and The Oil Mallee Company of Australia Limited.
CO2 is Australia's largest provider of carbon sink plantings.
