Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation (CXC) is a leading gold and silver explorer and producer. The Company’s projects include one silver mine in the USA, two expanding low-cost mines located in southern Chile and Argentina, two low-cost mines located in Australia and two advanced development projects, in Bolivia and Alaska. Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 12th December, 2007. It is also listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol CDE and on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol CDM. CXC has no silver/gold production hedged. The Company is targeting production of 20 million ounces of silver in 2009, which is a 66% increase over last year's levels. Coeur is engaged in the production of silver from San Bartolomé silver mine located in Bolivia. San Bartolomé is expected to be the largest pure silver mine in the world. The Company is also undertaking construction operations at its other recently acquired world-leading gold/silver mine Palmarejo located in Mexico, which is expected to commence production in March 2009. In addition to its underground mines in southern Chile and Argentina , Coeur also owns and operates one surface mine in Nevada. It operates – Broken Hill Mine and Endeavor Mine in Australia. In Alaska, the Company holds a 100% interest in a key gold project – Kensington. The Company is undertaking exploration activities in Argentina, Chile and Mexico.
