Country Road (CTY) is in the business of designing and retailing of apparel, homewares and related accessories. CTY is engaged in the sale of exclusive Country Road branded products in Australia and abroad and it is operating in excess of 60 retail outlets, and 80 concession outlets across Australia and New Zealand. The Company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 2 July, 1987 and it is headquartered in Victoria, Australia. The Company employs more than 2000 personnel across Australia and New Zealand.

Country Road Full Year Results FY2012


Australian fashion retailer, Country Road (ASX:CTY) has released its full year results for FY2012 to June 30.

  • Full year net profit fell 11.6 percent to $16.1 million.
  • Revenue $419 million up from $411.7 million
  • Country Road has scrapped its final dividend payout.
  • The funds from the dropped dividend will instead be allocated towards reinvestment in the group if its takeover over Witchery (worth 172 million) goes ahead.

Country Road Acquires Witchery


Country Road (ASX:CTY), a designer, wholesaler and retailer of apparel has reported that it has acquired clothing retailer, Witchery Australia Holdings Pty Ltd for $172 million. Witchery includes the 40 year old Witchery brand and Mimco accessories brand, together they have 306 shop fronts Australia wide.
