Emeco Holdings (EHL) is a leading provider of heavy earthmoving equipment rental solutions. Its principal operations and activities include the sales, leasing and parts and maintenance services of heavy earthmoving equipments. EHL listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 28 July, 2006. The Company focuses its development activities through four main business divisions: rental, sales, parts and maintenance. The rental division provides diversified earthmoving equipment to its customers. The sales division is engaged in the sale of a variety of earthmoving equipments to civil construction and mining industries. The parts division globally sources used and reconditioned parts and supplies them to external customers, in addition to its rental and sales divisions. The maintenance division focuses on the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of customer plant and equipment. The Company is operating in Australia, Asia, North America and Europe. On January 4, 2008, its subsidiary Emeco Equipment (USA) LLC took over the business operations of a parts business, Wildcat Tractor Company Inc. EHL has a strong presence in the Australian market for renting of heavy earthmoving equipment to customers in the mining sector and it captures around 30% of the market shares.
Emeco Holdings History
Emeco was formed in 1972. Today the Company has grown from a regionally focused Australian operation to an integrated global business. In 1997, Emeco was taken over by a US based equipment and forklift company, Darr Equipment. Emeco was spun-off through an MBO later in Jan 2005. The Company is making growth both organically and through acquisitions, at both domestic and international level. It has also diversified into the Queensland and Indonesian markets. EHL listed on the ASX in July 2006.
