Whitehaven Coal (WHC) is a group of companies involved in coal mining and coal exploration. WHC supplies metallurgical and high-grade thermal coal to international steel, power-generation and metallurgical companies. WHC is presently focused on the development and operation of coal projects in the Gunnedah Region of New South Wales in addition to seeking for other exploration opportunities. Whitehaven Coal listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on June 1, 2007.
Extract Resources (EXT) is a global mineral exploration and mining Company primarily searching for gold, uranium and nickel. The Company’s uranium exploration operations are predominately held in Namibia where it owns a significant landholding of 2,653 km over a number of exploration licenses. In Namibia its key project location is situated 5km south of the top class Rossing Mine and 20 km west of Langer Heinrich. The Company is dual listed on the ASX and TSX with the same code “EXT” on each. Extract Resources listed on the ASX on 4rth of August, 2000.
Linc Energy (LNC) operates in the energy industry and it is primarily focused on the exploration of coal, gas and diesel. LNC supplies environmentally friendly power, diesel and aviation fuels. The Company develops and commercializes coal to liquids (CTL) processes by combining Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) and Gas to Liquids (GTL) technologies. This allows it to convert stranded coal into ultra-clean liquid fuels in a cost-effective way. The Company has potential to take these proven technologies to UCG-suitable locations within and outside Australia.
Karoon Gas Australia (KAR) also known as Karoon is an exploration company, principally focused on the identification, exploration and development of oil and gas reserves. The Company is currently exploring for hydrocarbons and natural gas resources in the offshore Browse and Bonaparte basins situated in Western Australia and in the Santos and Tumbes basins situated in South America. Karoon was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 8th June, 2004.
Eastern Star Gas (ESG) is a conventional and coalbed methane gas explorer and producer with operations primarily held in New South Wales and Victoria. ESG supplies gas to the NSW and potentially Eastern Australian and global LNG markets. Eastern Star Gas was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on February 8, 2001 with a market capitalisation of A$16 million. Its headquarters is located in Sydney.
Marion Energy (MAE) is an oil and gas explorer and developer operating in the onshore USA. Marion’s operations involve investment in oil and gas projects and the exploration and appraisal of new oil and gas reserves in Texas, Utah and Oklahoma in the USA. MAE listed on the ASX on 3rd July, 1986.
Cue Energy Resources (CUE) is a petroleum exploration company principally focused on the development, production and exploration of oil and gas in SE Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The Company holds a portfolio of petroleum assets in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. In Australia, the Company’s tenements are located in Bass Basin, Tasmania and Carnarvon Basin, Western Australia.
Nexus Energy (NXS) is an oil and gas explorer and producer. The Company holds a portfolio of quality assets located in three key regions including; the Gippsland Basin off the south east coast of Victoria; the Browse Basin, off the northwest coast of Western Australia and the Bonaparte Basin, offshore west of Darwin. Nexus Energy listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 13th September, 2000 and it is headquartered in Melbourne.
Sunshine Gas (SHG) is a gas production company principally focused on the exploration, evaluation and development of conventional gas and coal seam gas (CSG) and oil reserves. The Company is undertaking exploration activities for CSG in Queensland. SHG is also involved in the exploration of conventional gas at Overton in the Bowen and Surat Basins in Queensland. Sunshine Gas listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 3rd July, 2002. SHG owns potential coal seam gas landholdings in Queensland, which are in different stages of exploration, evaluation and development.
Petsec Energy (PSA) is oil and gas explorer, developer and producer with operations within the Gulf of Mexico and Gulf Coast, United States and Beibu Gulf, China. During the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company produced total 7,918 million cubic feet (MMcf) of gas and 24,748 barrels of oil or 8,066 millions of cubic feet equivalent (MMcfe). Petsec Energy listed on the ASX on December 1, 1980. PSA’s is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, with its operations offices located in Lafayette, Louisiana and Houston, Texas, USA.
