Beach Energy (BPT), formerly Beach Petroleum, is an oil and gas explorer, developer and producer, with investments in the resources industry. Beach retains a portfolio of over 350 exploration and production tenements within Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Egypt, Spain and Albania. Its key projects are located in the Cooper/Eromanga, Surat and Gippsland Basins of eastern Australia. Beach Petroleum listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 30 June, 1972. The Company is headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia.
Sydney Gas (SGL) is a coal seam methane gas Company. Its core focus is on the exploration, development, production and marketing of coal seam methane gas projects in the Sydney Basin, NSW. Sydney Gas listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on June 27, 1996. The joint venture (JV) projects of the Company are Camden Gas Project JV, Hunter Exploration JV and Sydney Exploration JV. Sydney Gas formed a joint venture with AGL in 2005 for the operation of Camden Gas Project. AGL and Sydney Gas are also undertaking exploration activities at Hunter Gas Project for the coal seam natural gas resources.
Riversdale Mining (RIV) is a coal exploration, mining and development Company, with operations in Australia and Africa. The Company operates several resource projects in Southern Africa. Riversdale Mining listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 24th January, 1986. RIV is a part of the Standard & Poor’s ASX 100 Index. On 1 December 2005, Riversdale acquired 74% in an operating underground anthracite mine, ZAC situated in the Zululand coalfield of northern Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. The Company produced 917,622 tons of coal from run of mine (ROM) during fiscal 2008.
Gloucester Coal (GCL) is a coking and thermal coal production and exploration Company with around 2,400 shareholders. The Company’s exploration activities are principally focused on the Gloucester Basin. GCL produces and markets Gloucester coking and thermal coal from the Stratford site pits which include the Bowens Road North pit, Roseville pit and co-disposal pit and from the Duralie open pit coal mining operation. The Company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on June 27, 1985.
Mosaic Oil NL (MOS) is a junior oil and gas exploration and production Company, with operations in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. MOS floated on the Australian Stock Exchange on 23rd February, 1989. MOS is also listed on the New Zealand and Port Moresby Exchanges. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2008, the oil production of Mosaic was 409,156 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE). The Company holds substantial producing assets in the highly rich Surat and Bowen basins of south east Queensland.
Deep Yellow (DYL) is a growing uranium exploration Company operating in Australia and Namibia. The Company is engaged in the exploration and development of uranium mineral resources in several states and regions of Australia and in Namibia. Deep Yellow listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 19 December, 1985. The Company’s portfolio of projects is comprised of the Napperby Project, Reynolds Range Project, Mt Liebig Project, Mt Doreen Project, Tanami-Arunta project, Tarltala Project and Western Gawler Project.
WorleyParsons (WOR) is a specialist provider of engineering design and project related services as well as maintenance and reliability support services to diversified industrial segments, with a focus on hydrocarbons, power, minerals and metals, and infrastructure and environment sectors. The Company holds equity investment in most its principal infrastructure projects. WorleyParsons listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 28th November, 2002. To date the Company employs around 32,200 people with 118 offices around the globe.
Tap Oil (TAP) is an independent oil and gas explorer and producer, with operations held in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Tap Oil listed on the ASX on 17th September, 1996. TAP acquired a 12.2229% interest in the Harriet oil and gas fields offshore Western Australia from Marubeni Oil. The principal assets of the Company are Harriet and Woollybutt. TAP commissioned Woollybutt in 2003 and to date its production is around 29 million barrels of oil. The Company’s head office is situated in Perth Western Australia.
Roc Oil Company (ROC) is a leading explorer and producer of oil and natural gas. Roc Oil listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 5th August, 1999. It listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange in 2004. To date, ROC issued shares reaches up to 590 million, with over 250 people employed worldwide. The company’s assets are held in Australia, China, Africa and UK. ROC operations are principally focused on Asia. The company’s Australian and Chinese assets contribute circa 80% of the total production, with 90% of 2P Reserves.
Australian Worldwide Exploration (AWE) is an oil and gas producer and explorer operating in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. The Company focuses on the evaluation and development of oil and gas properties along with the production and supply of oil, gas and condensate. AWE’s assets are in Argentina and the Kipper gas field. It listed on the ASX on 2nd July, 1997.
