Arrow Energy (AOE) is a leading producer and explorer of coal seam gas, with a current market capitalisation of over AUS$2 billion. AOE is also seeking further gas exploration opportunities in Australia and Asia. The Company has resources in south and central Queensland and northern New South Wales. Arrow Energy is solely focused on the business of coal seam methane gas. AOE listed on the ASX on 17th of August, 2000. It formed a merger with CH4 Gas Limited (CH4) on May 2006.
Aura Energy (AEE) is a mining and mineral exploration Company. Aura was incorporated to acquire and explore uranium deposits located in Western Australia. The Company is mainly searching for uranium in Australia and in other regions field where it can carry out its operations. Aura Energy listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on May 30, 2006. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006, Aura had a portfolio of 33 exploration licenses and applications having potential for uranium ore deposits. These licenses and applications expand over an area of round about 5986 square kilometers.
Aragon Resources (AAG) is a mineral exploration Company with an extensive portfolio of gold, uranium and nickel exploration assets situated in Western Australia. Aragon was listed on the Australian Stock exchange on 10th of August, 2007. Yandal Belt Gold-Uranium project, Kimberley Gold project and Kambalda Gold-Nickel project are Aragon’s three principal projects.
Atomic Resources (ATQ) is a mining and mineral exploration company principally focused on solid energy (Coal and Uranium). The Company has a portfolio of assets in Western Australia and in Tanzania, Africa. Atomic Resources listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 4 July, 2007. Its Uaroo Project is situated some 40 kilometers south of the Manyingee Uranium deposit near Onslow, Western Australia. Its Eraheedy Project encompasses over 11 tenements with the prospect to host calcrete or surfical uranium.
Aurora Oil & Gas (AUT) is an oil and gas company principally engaged in the oil and gas exploration, development and production in North America. Aurora began its operations in the early 2005. Aurora Oil & Gas listed on the ASX on 4 September, 1986. Its operations comprises an onshore Californian oil project, three gas-focused plays onshore in Texas and indirectly, through its shareholding in Gawler Resources Limited, interests in two more oil and gas projects situated in the shallow water of the Texas Gulf Coast Region.
Atom Energy (AXY) is a uranium explorer and producer. AXY was incorporated to acquire and develop a portfolio of Northern Territory uranium exploration projects in Australia. These projects are contained within four exploration licenses three of which are granted and one application. Atom Energy listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on June 26, 2007. All of the Atom Energy's tenements are sited in uranium mineral fields with unconformity related and vein style uranium deposits.
Anzon Australia (AZA) is a leading oil and gas company principally focused on the development, commercialisation and further exploration of oil and gas fields in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. Its principal asset base include a 50% interest in the Victorian Retention Leases in the Gippsland Basin, Bass Strait, off shore south eastern Australia with AZA being the operator of these fields. The Company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 15 December, 2004. Anzon Energy Limited is the ultimate parent of Anzon Australia and it holds 53.11% of the ordinary share capital.
Antares Energy (AZZ) is a global producer and explorer of petroleum. The Company has its key business operations in Turkey and the USA. AZZ's principal assets consist of two production projects (Oyster Creek and West Wharton) and two exploration projects in south Texas (Yellow Rose and Shaeffer Ranch). Antares Energy was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 24th of November, 1994. Its findings in the Shaeffer Ranch region comprise Hofstetter Field, Katz-Slick Field and Patteson Ranch Field.
Queensland Gas Company (QGC) is a leading coal seam gas producer. QGC is actively involved in the exploration, production and supply of onshore gas for domestic use, development of gas-fired power stations and development of LNG for export. QGC listed on the ASX on 28 August, 2000. The company is searching and developing coal seam resources of the Surat basin in South Queensland where it owns majority equity interests in around 7,200 square kilometers of permits. The reserves in the Surat Basin are estimated to provide approximately 20 per cent of the Queensland domestic gas market in 2009.
New Hope Corporation Limited (NHC) is coal mining company primarily engaged in mining and wholesale of coal, investment in bulk material coal handling operations, exploration and land management activities and investment in coal seam gas operations. New Hope listed on the ASX on 16 September, 2003. The Company’s head office is located in in Ipswich and at present it has over 250 people employed. NHC operates in south-east Queensland with open cut mines located in Acland on the Darling Downs, and at Rosewood near Ipswich.
