Ausenco (AAX), a well known company that operates engineering and project management facilities in a global scale with a portfolio of operations including construction supervision, engineering procurement, project administration, commissioning and management of mineral processing plants activities was the best performer of the 14th week in ASX200 with a gain of 15.9 percent closing the week at $5.10 (market capitalisation $623.9 million).
Transfield Services (TSE), a company that offers services in maintenance, operations, assets and project management sector was the best performer of the 35th week in ASX100 with a gain of 23.3 percent or 75 cents closing the week at $3.96.
Transfield Services (TSE), a company that offers services in sectors like maintenance, operations, assets and project management sector was the best performer in ASX100 index for this week adding 26.1 percent or 58 cents in its stock price and was closed at $2.80.
Lend Lease plans to expand its business in retirement homes. As Australia's population is moving quickly into the grey region, the company sees growth prospects in the business. It plans to takeover Babcock and Brown's listed funds to break away B&B Communities (BBC) from its parent company. Lend Lease was listed as one of the prospective buyers of 6.18 percent substantial stake for Babcock and Brown Communities, which owns substantial number of retirement homes and aged-care facilities.
FKP Property was the overall best performing stock taking in a 41.24 percent increase. It was a mixture of investment and asset management, financial services, energy and metal, and property companies who were among the best performing stocks for the week 25 of 2008 of the Australian sharemarket: Babcock & Brown (BNB), Allco Finance (AFG), Sims Group (SGM), FKP Property (FKP), Babcock & Brown Capital (BCM). These best performing stocks managed gains above 12.57 percent by the end of the trading week.
Sundance Resources (SDL) was the overall best performing stock taking in a 47.05 percent increase. The technical chart of the Sundance Resource stock price shows the rise and fall of their stock price. Last week presented a spike which broke the 100 day exponential moving average. Also note that the chart is in logarithmic scale (which displays price movements which is proportional with respect to percentage values) and also the spike in volume.
