FlexiGroup (FXL) is a leading vendor finance company with operations in Australasia and Ireland. The Company provides retail point-of-sale lease and rental finance solutions for IT equipment, including desktop and laptop computers, computer peripherals, and software. FXL listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 12 December, 2006. Its principal business operations and activities include the provision of lease and rental financing solutions for office, personal technology, and related equipment as well as providing personal and business loans. FlexiGroup has been focused on providing lease finance products in the electrical appliance industry for products such as Plasma TV’s, whitegoods and brown goods since 2004. The Company sells its financial products under various brand names, which include FLEXIRENT, Flexirent miniLEASE, Flexirent ezyway, EASYLEASE, smartway and FLEXIWAY through its retail partners. In July 2008 FlexiGroup rolled out its Ezyway Advantage product. It purchased Certegy Australia Limited from Fidelity National Information Services Inc in October 2008. Now the Flexigroup has also diversified into the travel channel, by partnering with leading Australian retailers in the travel industry with a selection of loan products. The Company expanded into the Ireland market in early 2008, and it is enjoying strong growth. FlexiGroup is committed to growth through distribution arrangements with further retailers, by launching new products and by diversifying into new geographic markets.
Flexigroup History
FlexiGroup was established in 1988 with a focus on providing finance solutions. The Company has partnerships with multiple office equipment companies such as Mitsui, Ricoh and Toshiba. In 1995, FlexiGroup entered into its first distribution arrangement with Harvey Norman, with a focus on point-of-sale financing in Harvey Norman’s retail IT equipment sector. In 2004, FlexiGroup launched Ezyway to expand its product range and entered into the electrical appliance market.
