Funtastic (FUN) is the largest distributor of children’s products in Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on children's toys, footwear, manchester, interactive entertainment and film distribution. Funtastic listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on September 14, 2000. The Company is primarily engaged in the wholesale and distribution of products. Funtastic announced the completion of the sale of its Publishing business unit to a private UK based publishing Company Parragon Publishing Limited, in February 2008. FUN offers a wide range of product categories as compared to any other Australian distribution company. Some of the leading brands of the Company encompass Bratz (key girls' brand), Leap Frog (key electronic learning aid brand), Disney, Holden Apparel, Hot Wheels, Pirates of the Caribbean, Bob the Builder and Bananas in Pyjamas. Funtastic has a strong presence in toy distribution market, capturing around 20% of the market share. It is also a market leader in licensed footwear business, apparel manufacturing and in the licensed consumer goods industry. FUN is also widely known for its excellent distributor partnerships and it is a key distributor of all major market retailers. Today, FUN operates 5 warehouses in VIC and NSW, and 2 outsourced warehouses in QLD and NZ, covering more than 50k square meters of space, which has enabled Funtastic to serve its clientele more efficiently and effectively.

Funtastic History

FUN was co-founded by David Hendy and David Tolmer in 1994, with a focus on toy distribution. It became floated on the ASX in 2000. The Company is now also a manufacturer and distributor of a number of other children’s products including clothing & books. The Company acquired the business operations of Toy&Hobby and and JNH Aust in 2002. It acquired Australian Horizons Group, a branded clothing manufacturer in 2005 along with NZ toy and nursery distributors Planet Fun and toy distributor Dorcy Irwin Pacific. In 2006, it completed the acquisition of an independent DVD distributor Madman, confectionery business M&J and toy operators Judius Group.
