Galileo Japan Trust (GJT) invests in a portfolio of real estate properties in Japan. The Trust makes investment in a range of office, residential, retail/leisure, mixed use, industrial and corporate assets in major cities of Japan with a bias towards Central and Greater Tokyo. It listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 18 December, 2006. The Trust is managed by Galileo Japan Funds Management Limited (GJFML), which is the responsible entity of the GJT. GJT has assets and liabilities across Australia. During fiscal 2008, the trust completed the acquisition of five properties which include La Park Kishiwada Shopping Centre, Osaka; Suroy Mall, Fukuoka, Fukuoka; Suroy Mall, Kumamoto, Kumamoto; Seiyu Minakuchi, Shiga, and Nara 2, Shin Yokohama. GJT owns 98.5% interest in Central Master Godo Kaisha. Galileo Japan Trust holds an indirect interest in a portfolio of 26 properties across Japan valued at $930 million, out of which 15 properties are based in Tokyo.
