Geodynamics (GDY) is solely focused on the development of renewable geothermal energy from Hot Fractured Rocks in Australia. The Company’s HFR geothermal tenements are held in New South Wales, Queensland and in the north-eastern part of South Australia. The Company holds two geothermal exploration licences in South Australia and two in New South Wales, with one of its resource in the Cooper Basin. Geodynamics listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 12th September 2002. HDR geothermal energy depends on existing technologies and engineering processes. In addition it is the only known means of renewable energy capable of carrying large base loads. GDY is the only Australian public company completely focused on HDR geothermal energy and it seeks to generate clean, environmentally safe energy through the technology. The energy is produced by pumping water into deep wells where it gets heated by the earth's core. The heated water is then transformed into electricity.
Geodynamics History
GDY was registered as a public company in November 2000. Geodynamics was established by Dr. Doone Wyborn, Dr. Prame Chopra and Dr. Bertus de Graaf to develop renewable geothermal energy generation from hot dry rocks in Australia. It listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 12 September, 2002.
