Highlands Pacific (HIG) is a diversified mineral explorer searching for gold, nickel, copper and cobalt projects in Papua New Guinea. Its principal projects are located at Kainantu, Rama and on the Frieda River. The Company operates the Kainantu gold mine and it is principally focused on mineral exploration and mine development either in its own right or in joint ventures in Papua New Guinea. HIG listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 12 June, 1997. HIG disposed of its Kainantu gold mine and surrounding exploration licenses in December 2007. Highlands Pacific holds 8.56% interest in Ramu nickel and cobalt project. This project hosts 31,150 tonnes of nickel and 3,300 tonnes of cobalt metal contained in a high grade intermediate product. The Company holds 16.4% interest in Frieda River Copper gold project, with also interests in Nenatec Process, and Exploration. Frieda is one of the largest undeveloped copper / gold deposits in the world with a prospective of 7.5 million tonnes of copper and 14.3 million ounces of gold. Nenatec Process is co-owned by HIG and Xstrata Plc and it is a patented facility designed to process concentrates produced from refractory base metal and precious metal ores. HIG is the sole owner of the Exploration License 1340 which spans the western portion of the Wau-Bulolo Graben. The Company also holds other exploration licenses which include Yangalemu and Kobiak. HIG has cash reserves of USD 30 million. The Company aims to maximise the value of shareholders through the exploration, development
and operation of economic projects.

HIG made its debut on the Australian Stock Exchange on 12 June 1997 and it listed on the Port Moresby Stock Exchange on 26 October 1999.
