Lend Lease Corporation Limited (LLC) is an Australia-based company that is engaged in construction and project management, property development and property investment management. LLC focuses on the construction and management of a variety of real estate assets with extensive operation in 40 countries around the world focusing on the Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, The Middle East and US market. LLC was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on the 30th of June 1962. The average annual revenue of LLC reaches $14 billion out of its issued capital of $4 billion. The company headquarters is located in Sydney, Australia and to date; around 9,600 people are employed in the company. Lend Lease Corporation Limited operates mainly on three business segments: Construction, Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) and Project Management; Retail and Communities; and Investment Management.
Lend Lease's (LLC) subsidiary, Bovis Lend Lease, is in charge of the operation of the company’s Construction, Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) and Project Management segment. This subsidiary specialises in construction and project management; public private partnerships and design build. Different business in retail, commercial, residential, industrial, education, communication, defense estates, health, pharmaceutical and some government office accommodation sectors benefit from the services this segment offers.
The retail business segment of Lend Lease focuses on the development, building, ownership and operation of various retail centres while the community business engages in the development of urban community. Unlike the retail business segment, the community business engages in long term and large scale projects. This segment also operates in the US where the businesses are operated by the Actus Lend Lease, another subsidiary of LLC that focuses on privatisation of military housing.
Lend Lease Corporation's investment management business segment co-invests and manages property funds based in the Asia Pacific region, Europe and UK. Aside from that, this segment also does direct investment in chosen retail property assets.
Lend Lease Corporation Limited Company History
It was in 1958 when Lend Lease Corporation Limited (LLC) was founded. The company grew rapidly on its first first three years and they were able to purchase both civic and civil parts of the business. As a result of the company’s rapid growth, they started expanding into the US in the year 1970. In 1971, their expansion continued in Singapore subsequently forming the first business partner on real estate accounts of the US pension funds called the Prime Property Fund. Continuing their expansion, they moved to Europe in 1991 and had a contract work for Barcelona Olympics.In 2000, they also acquired the Global Project Management Company owned by P and O's, Bovis.
Lend Lease Corporation Limited had a deal with the Municipal Mortgage and Equity on the selling of the Housing and Community Investing business in 2003. The previous selling of the Lend Lease Agri-Business toward Rabobank Group was completed. After all these came more completion. The Lend Lease finished the deal of relocating some parts of the company's US real estate justice advisory business to the subsidiaries of the Morgan Stanley back in 2003. In addition to this, the deal of the possessions and specific liabilities owned by Lend Lease Mortgage Capital company was sold to Wachovia.
The contract for sale of Twin Waters Resort business to listed possession company Abacus Property Group was approved by the Lend Lease's subsidiary, the Lend Lease Development with the GPT Group in October 2005.
