Magontech (MGL) is a leading manufacturer and distributor of magnesium alloys and anodes. Investors can trade Magontech shares on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) stockmarket.
Magontec makes a broad range of magnesium alloys at its manufacturing operations in China and Germany. Nearly all the new magnesium manufactured in the World today originates in China, where Magontec has two factories converting pure magnesium and other alloying elements into magnesium alloys. In addition to generic magnesium alloys Magontec also has a significant technology portfolio. This includes a variety of high-temperature alloys, grain refining alloys and extrusion alloys. Magontec is also a leading magnesium alloy recycler. Magnesium die casters generate significant quantities of scrap. Magontec has three recycling operations in Germany, Romania and China.
Magontec manufacturers magnesium and titanium Cathodic Corrosion Protection products (anodes) for the global water heater industry in Europe and China. Magontec is a leading supplier in Europe, Asia and the Middle East with a 20% global market share.
