Nanosonics (NAN) is a technology driven company that is commercialising innovative and unique customer focused disinfection solutions. The Company's unique disinfection and sterilisation technologies provide the ability to produce safe, non-toxic, fast and environmentally friendly solutions that are able to kill the most resilient microorganisms.
Nanosonics is currently focused on the commercialisation of its launch product, the Trophon EPR. In parallel with this launch, the Company continues to explore the development of a range of infection control solutions for initially, the healthcare industry. These products are focused in the low temperature, point of care reprocessing of medical devices. NAN listed on the Australian stockmarket (ASX) on 17 May, 2007.
Trophon EPR
The Trophon EPR is the first commercial application of Nanosonics' innovative platform technology and is specifically designed to disinfect intracavity and surface ultrasound probes at the point of care. The Trophon EPR makes the task of disinfecting ultrasound transducers significantly faster, safer and more convenient.
In March 2009, the Company made its sale of the Trophon EPR ultrasound probe disinfector and associated consumables. Trophon EPR is an automated device specifically designed for the disinfection of ultrasound probes at the point of care. The Company operates in a single business segment, the healthcare equipment segment. The Company operates in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The Company's subsidiaries include Nanosonics Europe GmbH and Saban Ventures Pty Limited.
