NGM Resources (NGM) is an Australian company that listed in May 2004 and is principally involved in gold exploration. NGM currently has three projects, comprising over 2300 square kilometres of granted tenements and tenement applicants, all located in Western Australia. The projects focus on Australian Proterozoic terranes, which potentially hold significant gold deposits.
The company listed on Australian stockmarket (ASX) on the 3 May 2004. NGM was created from the exploration assets of Aviva Corporation Limited (ASX Code, AVA) and North Gascoyne Mining Pty Ltd, an un-listed junior explorer.
NGM have placed their focus on Australian Proterozoic because the terranes host some of the world's largest mineral deposits. The company states that the Proterozoic hosts three major styles of gold mineralisation that have potential to form world-class ore deposits.NGM's major customers would include the retail, wholesale and international markets. Its competitors consist of other mining companies such as Midas Resources (MDS). The mining industry is a global industry, which is highly competitive.
In Niger, West Africa, NGM’s subsidiary Indo Energy Limited, is the holder of three granted uranium concessions. In Madagascar NGM holds 469 kilometers of tenements prospective for gold, iron and heavy minerals. Its subsidiaries include Indo Energy Limited, North Gasgoyne Mining Pty Ltd, NGM Universal Limited, NGM Uranium Limited, Universal Exploration and Madagascar SARL.
