Pro-Pac Packaging (PPG) manufactures and supplies flowable and non-flowable voidfill protective packaging. Packaging is offered by Pro Pac in various forms from wheat-based packaging to pillow infill packaging. PPG was listed on the Australian stockmarket (ASX) on 27 April, 2005.
Pro Pac was established in 1987 and over the years has become one of the leaders in the manufacture and supply of flowable and non-flowable voidfill protective packaging. The company operates in all states of Australia with manufacturing plants in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
The company differentiates itself through its extensive range of infill products used for packaging. These include green-pak (wheat based infill), envirofill (starch mixture made from potato or wheat), alta-pak (made from energy absorbing polystyrene bubbles), paperplus (patented system from Pro-Pac fashions two sheets of Kraft paper into a protective mattress) and air-pak (pillow infill).
Major customers include the general public to companies that require packaging service domestically and internationally such as export/import companies, retail companies and manufacturing companies. Competitors include other packaging companies in the market both locally and internationally.
Its products include Green-Pak, Envirofill, Alta-Pak, Paperplus and Air-Pak. In November 2008, Pro-Pac Group Limited, its subsidiary, acquired Fastway Industrial Products Pty Limited, which provides packaging solutions to a range of companies.
