Pulse Health (PHG) is one of Australia’s leading private healthcare operators. The growth and success has been achieved by meeting the needs of the communities they serve, through the provision of quality care and creating the opportunity for staff to work in a professional and productive environment. Pulse Health will continue its push into the market by assisting doctors and staff to deliver quality care to patients; underpinned by responsible financial and commercial management, allowing selective strategic growth in key areas. Investors can trade shares on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
The company was listed on the Australian stock market in November 2003. The company was incorporated with the aim of commercialising and globally exploiting FBACS. This project has been jointly funded by Biometrics Limited's joint venture partner Interface Pacific Pty Ltd. In June 2007, the company changed its name and company code to Pulse Health Limited (PHG).
Pulse Health aims to be the provider of choice for doctors, patients, staff and the broader community through the provision of quality health care, and a reputation for diligence and compassion. They also aim to be a health care business that is effective and efficient in all facets of its operation and will achieve this by fostering and maintain a safe, competent, and caring environment.
Pulse Health’s business model has been predicated and underpinned by their focus on care, commitment and community. Pulse Health has fostered a strategy that addresses the community’s in which they operate in, through working with individuals and stakeholders (patients, doctors and staff) and also addressing broader community needs through the identification of community health care requirements and implementing services to fill these voids.
PHG has developed a fused biometric access control system (FBACS) - a system combined with multiple technologies of facial recognition, fingerprint identification, proximity card or numeric pad, all contained in a single user-friendly unit.
FBACS is being developed for high-level security requirements such as airports, government buildings, border crossings, prisons and passport control, as well as private sector businesses needing a higher level of security. Customers mainly include large corporations throughout the world. Competitors are other security companies.
