REA Group (REA) is a global provider of online real estate advertising services. The Company also focuses on real estate office-management tools, website designing, mortgage broking and real estate print publishing. REA is operating a number of commercial or residential property websites in Australia, the UK, Italy and NZ. REA Group listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on 1 December, 1999. Its head office is situated in Melbourne. In 2008, the Company’s revenue reached up to AUD $156 million. The Company’s Australian websites are realestate.com.au, realcommercial.com.au and propertylook.com.au. REA is offering online advertising services for residential and commercial properties for sale and rent, in multiple countries. It also provides online display advertising space for advertisers in a range of industries and software licensing of estate agent back office solutions. The Company also offers training services through the REA Knowledge Network or data services. As of June 30, 2008, REA operated 21 Websites across ten countries. On March 3, 2008, it completed the acquisition of 51% of REA Group FZ LLC, Dubai. On April 9, 2008, the Company acquired the business of Sherlock Publications Limited, through REA UK Limited, a 50%-owned subsidiary of REA. On July 8, 2008, it completed the acquisition of UK Property Shop Limited. Today, REA operates Australia's most popular residential and commercial real estate websites and it is the sixth largest online publisher in terms of revenue in Australia. The Company operates similar websites on three continents. The REA Group changed its name from RealEstate.com.au on December 1, 2008.
