RGM Media (RGM), RGM is currently Australia's largest artist management company, representing over 300 clients and has developed an international reputation for supplying leading Australian artists. This continued success and recognition has led to RGM building strong relationships with leading US and UK management agencies. RGM's leading artists' are generally co-represented with key US or UK agencies. RGM was listed on the Australian stock market in 28 June, 2000. Investors can buy and sell shares on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
The artist management business operated by RGM was founded in 1982 by Robyn Gardiner and has since been developed into a leading artist management company within Australia representing several internationally acclaimed actors. RGM has also established a literary department representing writers, directors, and filmmakers and more recently a corporate department focused on television and radio presentation, narration and commercials.
In 1998 Devesh Chetty joined RGM to assist in developing RGM's artist management business. Mr Chetty's experience in film production, distribution and financing provided a platform for the Company's expansion into film packaging and executive production.
In 2005 RGM moved its executive production activities from Sydney to Singapore to avail itself of potentially favourable business conditions. RGM's Singapore office is focusing on the development and production of mainstream film and television projects for release in the global market.
The development of their artist management business has been underpinned by their track record of recognising emerging artists, successfully managing some of Australia's leading film, television and literary artists and their continued success in introducing Australian artists to the US and UK markets. RGM Media is based in Sydney, with offices in Perth, Singapore and Los Angeles, the company's artist management business encompasses three divisions:
Acting
They represent Australian actors seeking opportunities to work in film, television and theatre. They also act in collaboration with UK and US based agencies to source artists for international projects
Literary
RGM represents writers and directors for film, television and theatre, and cinematographers for film and television, with a focus on drama and documentary
Corporate
This division focuses on representing radio presenters, television presenters, and actors for commercials as well as securing work for voice only parts in documentaries, animation, games and commercials. Work is also obtained for artists involved in music projects and production.
