Specialty Fashion Group (SFH) is a retailer of women's clothing, with operations in Australia and New Zealand. The company sells fashion and affordable women's workwear, casual and leisurewear. SFH sells apparel via its retail outlets. The brands operated by SFH include Miller's Fashion Club, Autograph, Crossroads, Katies and City Chic. Specialty Fashion Group listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on 28 May 1998. Millers offers everyday fashion essentials for the value conscious women over 50s. Crossroads sells fashionable casual and workwear targeting price conscious forever 30 women. Katies offers a variety of quality apparel for all occasions targeted at the forever 40 woman looking for classic fashion. Autograph sells plus sized fashion offering sizes 16 to 26, focusing the price conscious working woman or stay at home mum looking for a stylish look. City Chic offers fashion forward plus size womanwear for the18 – 30 year old. Queenspark offers apparels for the fashionable and contemporary woman customer base. SFH aims to become a top specialty fashion, multi branded women apparel business of Australia. From the beginning of 2007, the Company has taken control of 21 Big City Chic stores, engaged in the sale of reasonably priced plus sized fashion apparel for women.
Specialty Fashion Group History
In 1993 Gary Perlstein and Ian Miller established Miller's Retail. The company made a rapid progress and by the time it listed on the ASX in May 1998, it was operating 147 stores. In March 2000, the Company also entered into Discount Variety retail but this business was not successful so the Company divested it in November 2005. In FY02, SFH diversified into Silhouette and Look Smart. In December 2006, the Company changed its name from Miller's Retail to Specialty Fashion Group. In 2007, the Company acquired the control of 42-store Chain Reaction business.
