Tap Oil (TAP) is an independent oil and gas explorer and producer, with operations held in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Tap Oil listed on the ASX on 17th September, 1996. TAP acquired a 12.2229% interest in the Harriet oil and gas fields offshore Western Australia from Marubeni Oil. The principal assets of the Company are Harriet and Woollybutt. TAP commissioned Woollybutt in 2003 and to date its production is around 29 million barrels of oil. The Company’s head office is situated in Perth Western Australia.

Santos Commits to $490m Fletcher Finucane Project


Oil and gas company Santos (STO) has confirmed that it will develop the Fletcher Finucane oil project in Carnarvon Basin off the northwest coast of Western Australia worth $490 million. Santos will contribute $236 million of the capital expenditure of the project as its venture participants Kufpec Australia and JX Nippol Oil and Gas will share for the remaining costs.

Scenario 1: WTI Futures curve: average WTI oil price US$75/bbl: Applying the futures curve increases 2008 EPS forecast most for Tap (+84%), Santos (+47%) and Woodside (+41%).
