Ausenco Stretches Beadell Contract


Ausenco (AAX) secures a deal to extend its contract with Beadell Resources Ltd to manage a $75 million processing plant at the Tucano gold project in Brazil. According to chief executive Zimi Meka, the new contract that will be built on top of the company's earlier work will deliver feasibility studies, engineering and procurement of activities for the project.

Telstra Closing In On $9B NBN Deal


Signing of the $9 billion agreement between telecommunications company Telstra (ASX:TLS) and NBN Co could be finalised next week and the cabinet could examine the documents by mid-year.

Under the deal, Telstra will be compensated for retiring its fixed line copper network and moving its infrastructure to NBN for rolling out fibre optic cables.

Brambles Gets Back Con Agra Contract


Pallet supplier Brambles (ASX:BXB) has won back a contract from US food manufacturer Con Agra and an extension of Brambles' contract with Dole Foods in Central America. The deal came after Bramble's US competitor iGPS failed to supply Con Agra with plastic pallets.

An iGPS supplier cited funding concerns and Chapter 11 bankruptcy for delays in supply.

Fortescue Reviews Legal Status of Contracts


Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), an Australian mining company has announced that, it is reviewing the legal status of their shipping contracts as a result of the disagreements developed from the decision of suspending two-third of its long-term shipping contracts.
