Jetset Travelworld (JET) operates a travel agency franchise business providing wholesale, retail and business travel-related products and services across Australia. The company also operates an integrated airline ticketing facility in all mainland states. JET comprises Jetset, Travelworld, Orient Pacific, Qantas Business Travel and Qantas Holidays (including the Viva! brand). It has three segments: Retail, Wholesale and Business Travel. The Company has retail travel networks with more than 640 member outlets.

Jetset Travel World $8.6m Profit Down 22.9% 1H2013


Travel Agency Company Jetset Travel World (ASX:JET) have announced its half year financial results for 2013 to its shareholders and investors on the Australian stockmarket.

  • Jetset Travel World Net Profit of $8.6 million, down 22.9 percent from 11.2 million on the previous corresponding period.

Shareholders Approve Jetset and Stella Merger


Australian travel agency company, Jetset (ASX:JET) shareholders have approved a $440 million merger with Stella Travel Services. Last week, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) approved the merger, with the competition including Flight Centre, online travel agents and direct supply from hotels, tour operators and airlines. The approval sent JET shares up to 17 percent higher on the day.
